This week the baby is the size of a lemon. That's about 3.4 inches! He or she is busy with thumb sucking, toe wiggling, and (not so cute but equally amazing) making urine and breathing amniotic fluid as the liver, kidneys and, spleen continue to develop.
In other news, it seems like the 2nd trimester has brought an end to morning sickness and more energy. Yippee!!! I've been feeling great and have been able to walk daily for the last few weeks! I've been busy trying to stay active, picking out baby furniture (yes, already!) and maternity clothing, and eating every hour or two. I'm voraciously hungry all the time now!
